A soft cake, flavored with cocoa and orange….and with a special zebra look.
3 oranges (about 300 ml)
280 gr flour 00
100 gr sugar
50 ml of seed oil
50 gr cocoa powder
1 bag of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
Orange juice a couple of tablespoons
50 gr powder sugar
Put all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, a pinch of salt and the peel of the oranges) in a bowl. Mix them well and keep aside for a moment.
Squeeze the oranges and pour 250 ml of juice into another bowl. Add the seed oil and the eggs. Mix well. Now add the dry ingredients to the egg and orange juice mixture, with a whisk mix the ingredients very quickly.
Divide the mixture in half in 2 bowls, one keep aside, in the other add the remaining orange juice (about 50 ml) and the cocoa.
Line with baking paper the bottom of a 26 cm diameter baking pan, then starting from the center, pour the mixture a ladle at a time, always pouring in the center of the previous one, alternating a ladle of neutral mixture and one of cocoa mixture. Continue until you finish the mixtures.
Bake in the oven at 170-175 ° in static mode for about 20-22 minutes. To make the glaze, pour the powder sugar into a bowl and add a couple of tablespoons of orange juice. Mix well. Once the cake is warm, pour the icing to make the cake shiny. Finally, decorate with a few slices of orange.
