Are you ready for Halloween? This is our pumpkin-shaped pumpkin bread recipe.
INGREDIENTS to make one medium pumpkin bread
250 gr flour
150 gr pumpkin
75 ml water
15 gr seeds oil
1 pinch salt
2 gr fresh yeast
Put the sliced pumpkin in the oven until soft, smash it with a fork and set aside.
Let the yeast dissolve in the water, then add the flour, salt, oil and the pumpkin. Let the dough rise for 4 hours.
Give the dough a rounded shape. Arrange the loaf in a crisscross pattern on top of a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place the bread loaf on top of the twine, smooth side up. Egg wash the dough lightly so the loaf browns evenly. Tie each string around the loaf loosely to allow room for the bread to rise and expand. Cut off the long pieces of string (see the last picture in the gallery).
Let it rise for 30 more minutes.
Bake in the oven at 200* for 25 minutes.
Remove the bakers twine carefully after the bread has cooled.
You can use a rosemary stick in the center as the pumpkin stem.
