Waiting for Summer, enjoy these multi color Italian Hummus together with a fresh home made Italian Piadina. With a few simple ingredients, you really can make a creamy smooth homemade hummus, Italian style.
INGREDIENTS for the pink hummus
200 gr precooked chickpeas
2 precooked beetroots
1 lemon
Parsley
Salt
Pepper
Extra virgin olive oil
INGREDIENTS for the yellow hummus
400 gr precooked chickpeas
1 lemon
Parsley
Salt
Pepper
2 teaspoons curcuma powder
Extra virgin olive oil
INGREDIENTS for the piadina
250 flour
110 g water
40 g lard or extravergin olive oil
5 gr salt
5 g baking soda
METHOD
Pink-one hummus Put 2 precooked beetroots in a food processor together with 40 ml of extra virgin olive oil, the chickpeas, some salt, pepper and the juice of the lemon. Blend it until it’s creamy and smooth.
Yellow-one hummus Put the chickpeas together with 40 ml of extra virgin olive oil, some salt, pepper and the juice of the lemon. Blend it until it’s creamy and smooth.
*If you use the chickpeas in a can, remember to wash them before you use them.
Piadina Mix all the ingredients together then kneed and roll the dough to give it the classic round shape. Cook it in a pan for a few minutes. (Watch our reel posted on April 19th).
