Percoche peaches Tart

In the South of Italy, cooking is not a solo experience. People are used to cook together. Do you know that cooking together can help create and continue a strong relationship?

Today, nonna Lia (Alessandra’s mother) prepares a percoche (peaches) tart, together with her granddaughters Alice and Benedetta.

INGREDIENTS for a 18x18cm baking tray

9 tablespoons flour 
4 tablespoons brown sugar
100 gr butter 
1 egg
1 jar of homemade peaches jam
5 percoche-peaches cut in slices – Some mint leaves


Mix together the sugar, butter and flour, then add one egg, mix with your hands and pulse until it comes together into a dough.
Wrap in clingfilm and chill for 20-30 minutes in the fridge.

Spread the dough in the baking tray and add the homemade jam and the peaches cut in slices.
Put the cake in the pre-heated oven at 180* for 45 min. Cook for 10 more minutes at 200* until the peaches are caramelized.

Let it cool down and decorate with some mint leaves.
