Frappe – Cenci – Chiacchiere

Today we celebrate the last day of the Carnival season with this Italian traditional recipe.

Frappe (or Cenci or Chiacchiere) are fried pastries that can be found across Italy during the carnival season. They are great warm or at room temperature, but should be eaten the same day. 


300 gr flour
20 gr butter
4 table spoons sugar 
2 eggs
1 table spoon Vin Santo or grappa
8 gr baking powder 
1 orange
