Spaghetti with clams

Spaghetti with clams is the type of thing you’d order at an Italian restaurant instead of making at home. But if you follow Cristina’s instructions you can make it!


1 kg clams 
2 tablespoons peeled tomatoes 
1 garlic clove 
Chilly pepper 
400 gr spaghetti 
Extra virgin olive oil

Wash the clams under fresh water and put them in a pot with a lid. 

Turn on the hit and wait until the clams open. 

Filter the liquid and remove the sand. 

In a frying pan add the extra virgin olive oil, the garlic, the peeled tomatoes and the chilly pepper. After a couple of minutes add the clams and the cooking liquid. Let it cook for 5 minutes. 

In the meantime cook the spaghetti “al dente” and add them to the sauce. 

Enjoy them with a nice glass of white wine
